There are a lot of posts about this, and since Sho is my ichiban I might as well do it here, too. I can't believe I didn't do this last year.

Happy birthday, Sho! It's still the 24th where I am, but it's okay because I can celebrate your birthday 2 days in a row! I hope you take time to celebrate with family and friends (Arashi counts as both). May 35 be a great year for you and that you accomplish more awesome things like being the awesome newscaster you are and Arashi's best rapper. I hope you find the strength to write great raps this year. Keep your health and your sanity too. Even though you like to stay busy, please remember to slow down every once in a while. It's not worth getting sick over. I look forward to new and future projects from you and Arashi! Please stay the wonderful and dorky Sho I've come to love. God bless and happy birthday.

I don't know why that was so hard to write. I felt like I was really picking my brain trying to figure out what to say! It would probably be even worse if I had to say all that to him in person. However, if I did know him in person I would run up to him and give him a big hug. Words would not be needed. :)

In the meantime, enjoy a picspam of some of my favorite photos of Sho! :D

Today is also my nephew's 1st birthday! I can't believe he's already a year old. Sometimes I forget his birthday is the 24th because he was born late at night, and it was already the 25th in Japan, so I say he and Sho share the same birthday. ;D

Hi all! I hope the holidays were good to you. I hope Christmas and New Years were relaxing and/or filled with fabulous times celebrating with family and friends. Mine were okay. Mine were very relaxing which I haven't had those like that in a while. They were almost non-eventful but they were exactly what I needed given the amount of stress I was going through. Things are better now, and I might write about that later. During that time, I've gotten to watch a couple more jdramas and they've helped me stay sane.

Jimi ni Sugoi! Koetsu Garu Kono EtsukoCollapse )

Tengoku ni Ichiban Chikai Otoko 2Collapse )

There are the two dramas I watched during the fall and early winter seasons. Daisho will be up next, I promise, even though I've put it on hold for a while. I probably won't watch this one subbed, mainly because I haven't found a subber for it yet. There's another drama coming out next month I want to catch, and a lot of drama watchers seem to be skeptical this one. There's another Kimi wa Petto releasing and a lot of people are complaining that it's being remade because it's trying to replace Jun Matsumoto and Kato Koyuki. I am going to give this one a try. Now that the manga is finished, they'll probably stick a little closer to the story. I loved the 2003 version and adored Jun as Momo (never have I wanted to run my fingers through his hair or rub his belly before so much). With a new Momo and Sumire-chan, who knows how it will turn out. I'm actually looking forward to it quite a bit. Also, the actress playing Sumire looks a lot softer than Kato Koyuki. Kato seemed harsher and harder, but she did fit her role.

I'll be writing about these later on, I just don't know how much later. I'm going through a lot of changes since I'm staying at a friend's house in another town until I can move into my new apartment. I'm not sure when that will be. Plus, the internet at my friend's house is a lot slower than my own. I miss my fast broad band. So, I'll be taking a break from j dramas for a little while. I'm also working on getting over a terrible cold I had last week. I was bed ridden for two days straight. I haven't been that sick in so long, so I'm taking some time to rest some more and feel more at 100%.

Merry Christmas to you all! I hope you had a good one, or are still having a good time if you're still celebrating. I was able to travel to my parents' house and celebrate with them, along with my brother, his wife, and my awesome and adorable nephew! I can't believe he's going to be a year old next month! Time flies so fast.

This Christmas was what I needed after all the stress I've been through this past month. Sad to say, I wasn't feeling the spirit of things and I tried. I think what I needed was time away and a weekend to relax to keep my mind off of things. Being with family really helps with that. So, remember that if you're going through tough times right now as well. Even if you and your family don't really get along, find a friend who will never judge you and never let them go.

All in all, I'm hoping 2017 will be a better year.

I made some changes to my journal. First off, I changed my personal entries to friends only. So if you want to see those, you'll have to add me as a friend. Not sure if you'd care about me that much to want to know what's happening.

Also, I changed my journal after having the same for nearly a full year. I loved the other one a lot, mostly for the colors and the rain, but Ohmiya isn't my ship. Not saying I dislike them, but I feel more strongly to Sakumoto. And Sho. I've had my eyes on this style for a while anyway. The only thing concerning me is the background image is gone. It's in the preview and I'm pretty sure I followed the directions for installing carefully, but the background still won't show up. I wonder what's up with that. Maybe because the creator isn't very active anymore and hasn't updated so the image is gone. Oh well, I still think it looks pretty good.

I'll be getting some new jdrama reviews once I finish watching them. Be on the lookout for Jimi ni Sogoui! and Daisho. I'm also kind of in the middle of Heaven Cannot Wait 2 because younger Sho is in that one, but the people subbing seem to have put it on hold and haven't updated in over a year. I've debated with watching the rest of it raw and see how I do, but I've gotten so busy with real life that I've put the drama on the back burner for now. Once I finish that, I'll have seen everything Sho has starred in, besides that weird sci-fi spring special I forgot the name of. I've looked around for that one quite a bit and only found a raw. If anyone knows the name of that SP and knows where to get the subs, please message me!

Happy birthday to Ohno Satoshi! My first ichiban of Arashi. He's still one of my favorites and makes me smile every time I see him. 36 is the new 25. ;)

I'm back again to give my reviews on the last two new dramas I watched this past summer. One was released this year and the other is a couple years old. I watched Good Morning Call on Netflix and Boku no Ita Jikan. I'm also streaming a football game right now, so my writing might seem a bit distracted. Without further ado, on with the reviews!

Good Morning CallCollapse )

I'm pretty excited to say I'm watching a fall drama this year! It's Ishihara Satomi's Jimi ni Sougoi!. I really like her as an actress. Also, Oguri Shun has a new drama coming out in November, so if I can find that one, I'll definitely be watching it. Look out for reviews for those two!

I did some pumpkin carving a week ago to get into the spirit of fall. It's my favorite season because I just love the different colors of the leaves, and it's cider season, as well as sweater, hot chocolate, and pumpkin spice everything season! So, last weekend, I got busy and decided to carve some pumpkins. I did more than one, which was a lot of work, but I like how they turned out. I haven't done anything creative like this in a long time, so I felt like I was testing my old artistic ability. It took a while to channel back into it, but I think they turned out pretty well.

Geeky pumpkinsCollapse )

I took these pictures with my tablet so I wasn't able to see the quality very well. They turned out a lot better than I thought! I'm quite proud! I thought about taking pictures of them in the dark with the little candles inside and I did, but I couldn't see them very well on my tablet so I didn't think they turned out. I can take them again if anyone would like to see them! However, these pictures were taken a week ago, and since then I've lost the Ed pumpkin because it kinda caved in on itself, so I had to throw it out. :( Oh well.

At long last, my reviews are here, and yes reviews as in more than one! Originally I had planned to review both Sekai Ichi Muzukashii Koi and 99.9 Keiji Senmon Bengoshi. I wasn't able to review each episode as I had hoped because it was super time consuming and I got pretty busy going through every point in each episode I wanted to do.

There it is for the dramas I watched this spring and early summer. Both were great. Currently, I'm not watching dramas that are airing right now, so I'll have to see how this fall is going to be. I'm branching out a little more each time I watch dramas. Right now I'm watching Good Morning Call which I think ended just about a month ago, maybe a little longer. But it's one of the few that does not have Toma Ikuta, Shun Oguri, or anyone from Arashi in it. Maybe...I'll review that one, if I'm in the mood.

I wanted to write this yesterday, or last night even, but I was so exhausted from my long day of yard work, house work, getting things ready for church today, and my parents stopped by to drop off my phone charger which I left at their house the last time I visited them. My phone was dead for a week. So, once I finished everything, I finally started the first episode of Sekai Ichi Muzukashii Koi. I've been waiting for this drama ever since I first heard about it! I was so excited because this would be the first time I've seen a drama that stars someone from Arashi since I first became a fan a year ago.

I decided that once I started watching it, maybe I could write reviews on each episode? Or just a review on the whole drama. I might play around with things at first and see how I like it. And maybe this will help me post more often on my livejournal.

I like drinking milk after having a bath.Collapse )

It's only the first episode and I'm already loving this drama! I can't wait for episode 2. ^_^
I might review Jun's new drama, 99.9 once I see it. We'll see how things go.

I had to look through my old FMA picture folders for an Edward icon. If I was an lj member years ago, I think all of my userpics would be full of him. Or the majority of them would be of Ed. It was hard for me to pick just one because I can only have 15 and I don't want to buy a paid account yet. I went with this one because I made it as a joke for a friend who liked Twilight and I didn't. I still don't. This was the only Ed icon I made though.

Anyway, I could have posted this yesterday morning when I found out the news, but rl got a hold of me. So, today's good. I read from here that there will be a live action FMA movie! I'm really looking forward to this because if anyone has ever asked me what my favorite manga or favorite anime is, I would tell them FMA, pretty much on default. Not because I got so used to answering it that way over the past...8 years. But because I have yet to find another anime or manga that has surpassed FMA by grabbing my heart emotionally and affecting me mentally. This story is incredibly deep and I fell in love with Ed and Al and how much they sacrifice for each other and how devoted they are to each other. There are other characters that affected me as well such as Roy, Riza, Scar, Hughes, Nina, Winry, the list goes on. I ended up falling for all of the characters. I was actually thinking the other day before I found out about this that I should re-read the manga, since I have all the volumes now, and it took me 5 years to build that collection. I should also rewatch the anime. Both the original and Brotherhood. Along with Conqueror of Shamballa and Sacred Star of Milos. I only have the first anime on DVD, so I'll have to watch Brotherhood on Netflix (good old Netflix!). Man, there's going to be some massive nostalgia coming in! Precious memories and feelings.

Another bit of news that made my day was finding out who is going to play Ed. Mr. Yamada Ryosuke. He's still pretty new to me since I found out about him from Grasshopper when he starred with Toma. I saw the behind the scenes stuff and watched a couple variety shows he was in and got to know him that way. Plus, he stars in the new Assassination Classroom movie, which I just started getting into. I think he'll be a good choice as Ed. He seems to be a versatile actor and can play almost any roll and apply a lot to the character. I can see him playing Ed, too. Yamada's seems like a sweetie. He's such a cupcake on those variety shows. I think it's funny how feminine he is too, visiting all those cafes. And here he is playing killer roles like the one in Grasshopper, Assassination Classroom, and now Edward Elric in FMA.

Be careful Yamada-kun. You're starting to get a name for yourself.

I found out from this twitter post about Toma's new role. Just when I thought he has played every character imaginable, I was proven wrong. There aren't a lot of details yet about the show, but I think his character will be enough to cause a stir.

Toma will be playing...A WOMAN!

When I first saw the picture, I thought "Who is that weird looking woman?" Then I saw the photo comparison and thought, "No...way."

Maybe I'm just a little slap happy from lack of sleep (which I didn't get any last night. I had to drop my brother off at the airport to catch a 6:30am flight). I'm not offended in any way. Actually, I think it's hilarious when men pretend to be women. I know this isn't Toma's first time dressed as woman either. Though, judging from the rough translation, he might be playing a transgender woman. That's what I take from it.

So this is what he's been doing during the Toma news hiatus.
